Our School

Lonnie B. Nelson has a rich 60 year history of providing quality education for children. At Lonnie B. Nelson, we study and apply The 7 Mindsets and operate from the belief that every student has unique skills and talents enabling them to be a leader. We also believe that a growth mindset and culturally relevant teaching will deepen the foundation of learning for ALL students to experience success. Our school Mission statement is "Learning to Lead, Leading to Learn, Betters Myself, Home, School, and World". To cultivate this belief, we work closely with parents, families, and community stakeholders to build Lonnie B. leaders and learners who are ready and willing to give back to the community.
